    COURSE STRUCTURE

    Online / Virtual Classrooms –

All of our classes are now online via our live interactive Virtual Classrooms.

These are run Monday to Friday starting at 0800 and finishing at 1600 for the course duration.

While we have allocated course durations for all courses, we may complete them sooner, depending on the group.

Your responsibility is to complete your assignments over the weekends and hand them in Monday mornings at 0800 before your written exams.

Written exams for the subjects you completed the week before will be on Monday morning. ONLY those who have submitted their assignments will be able to sit their exam.

As part of the maritime training package curriculum, each subject holds a practical component, and students must attend our Brisbane Campus to complete this. ECA Maritime College cannot issue a certificate without ALL parts of the curriculum being satisfied; this includes the practical assessment.

ECA Maritime College offers the practical assessment and AMPA completion as a collaborative day; however, students choosing not to complete their AMPA with us will still need to satisfy the practical assessment component.

You can complete practicals offsite for Corporate Clients or groups of 8 or more, provided all the resources required have been audited and approved.

    Remote / Flexible –

If you do not have time to attend classes, you can study remotely.

Once you have enrolled and processed your course fees, you will access your student portal. The portal is where all your course material will be located, including all your assignments and student handouts.

You can submit your assignments to your designated assessor and feedback received through the same system.

Remote students are given ten contact hours with their designated assessor to assist them through this process should they need it, and further assistance is available for students when necessary.

Once Remote students have completed all of their assignments, they will need to contact ECA Maritime College to organise a time to sit their written exams.
